Fresh Gives Back to Nelson County Schools

school supply drive

Fresh Gives Back to Nelson County Schools

Here at Fresh: Coffee, Pastries & More our motto is Drink Coffee | Be Kind.

Fresh recently partnered with The Old Kentucky Home Board of Realtors to put our motto to the test. Together, we challenged the whole Fresh Community to Be Kind and “Stuff The Bus” full of school supplies.

Our customers and team members accepted the challenge. We accepted donations at our cafe from July 19th through July 29th. The Fresh community showed up and with their generous donations, our first box was completely full within the first day.
In total, we collected 2 boxes full of pencils, scissors, glue sticks, markers, pens, and even bookbags.

There is no doubt about it, our promise of a free drink with donations definitely seemed like the perfect incentive, because who doesn’t love a free Fresh beverage?
Even our team members came by to take advantage of the free drink with a donation special. No weights were taken, however, there were no empty seats left on the bus when all the donations that were collected were dropped off.

The Old Kentucky Home Board of Realtors challenges local businesses every year with this school supply drive. In past years, it’s been a little friendly competition between businesses. But this year, we didn’t focus on the competition. We just came together as a community to make this school year a great one for the kids.

These donations will ensure underprivileged students have access to all the school supplies they need. We were so grateful to be allowed the opportunity to give back to the community that has done so much for us.

The Old Kentucky Home Board of Realtors will distribute these donations to local school resource coordinators for further distribution to the students who are in need. These kids will have school supplies thanks to the generous donations of not only the Fresh community but the entire community of Bardstown.

Fresh would like to say THANK YOU to our customers and team members who so generously donated school supplies to help out our local schools, teachers, and students. We put our motto to the test, and you guys definitely met and surpassed our expectations. This wouldn’t have been possible without the support of this great community.

Fresh: Coffee, Pastries & More loves to give back to this community so make sure you are keeping up with our social media pages for all any upcoming events that benefit our beautiful community.

Make sure to stop by and check us out. We are located at 114 North Third St in Bardstown.

We offer dine-in, curbside, and carryout options.
